Suit ‘Em Up Blackjack
Suit ‘Em Up Blackjack – Play Classic Games Online for Free
Suit Em Up is a variant of 21 offered in live and online casinos. It is a simple iteration of the classic blackjack. Although it doesn’t look spectacular, it has solid side bets. Easily, players can get as much as 60:1.
General Rules of Suit ‘Em Up
Suit ‘Em Up Blackjack has a common set of rules for blackjack games. It requires six standard decks of cards.
At the beginning of each round, players are expected to place their bets. They can either play up to three hands simultaneously or play a side bet. Every player gets two cards face up per hand.
The goal of the game is to make a hand that will be stronger than the dealer’s hand. The hand closest to 21, without going over it, is considered to be a winner. Every card has a certain value:
- Numbered cards – printed value
- Face cards -10 ten
- Aces – either 11 or 1 (depending on the player’s need)
If the dealer has a blackjack, the hand is ended automatically. All players lose their bets. In other cases, players can play out their hands.
Players can play out every hand until it stands or reaches a total of 22 or above. If the latter happens, a hand gets busted and all bets lose immediately.
Major Actions Taken in Suit ‘Em Up
Players have a number of decisions to make during the gameplay. Here they are:
- Hit – Players may take another card, and add it to their hand score.
- Stand – Players may stand with their hands for the rest of the round.
- Double Down – Players with 9, 10, or 11 on the initial two-card hand may double down by placing a second bet equal in size to their initial bet. Then, they will get one more card to stand automatically, without any further play.
- Split – Players who have two cards of the same rank, will be able to split them into two separate hands. Both of them will be played for a full bet. Both of them will get a second card. Splitting can be made once per hand.
Side Bet
At the beginning of each hand, players may take the optional side bet. It lets them win if their first two cards are of the same suit. And it lets them lose if their first two cards aren’t of the same suit. In other words, the bet is resolved as soon as the hands are dealt.
Suited hands are treated differently. They also bring different payouts:
- Two Suited Cards: 2-1
- Suited Eleven: 3-1
- Suited Pair: 5-1
- Suited blackjack: 10-1
- Suited Aces: 50-1
